1 c Crisco shortening
1 c white sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 package chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Mix first 5 ingredients with mixer and beat until fluffy, then add combined flour, salt and baking soda. Blend well then add chips and nuts last. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake for about 10 minutes. Remove pan from oven and let cookies cool about 10 minutes. Move to wire rack.
