3/4 c. room temperature butter
4 bananas (mashed)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1-1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. black walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Blend in bananas, eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, soda and salt together. Stir into banana mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add nuts, mix well. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 325º for one hour and fifteen minutes, or until done.
