1 lb ground beef
6 oz pork
3/4 C onion
16 oz can tomatoes
15 oz tomato sauce
1 clove garlic minced
1 tsp. basil
2 T parsley flakes
2 T sugar
1 tsp. salt
24 oz cottage cheese
1/2 C Parmesan Cheese
1 T Parsley flakes
1/2 tsp salt.1 T oregano
lasagne noodles
Mozarella cheese shredded about 4 cups.

Brown meat, onion, garlic, and drain. Add next 7 ingredients. Bring to boil and simmer for 1 hour.
While simmering, mix and keep cool next 5 ingredients (cottage cheese thru oregano). Put in casserole dish, 9x11. Layer noodles, meat sauce,
cottage cheese mixture, and Mozzarella Cheese.
I usually repeat twice, then put sauce on top.
Bake 350 for 45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes
to set up. I use dry noodles and refrigerate overnight. Bake for 1 hour. Take out and top with Mozzarella cheese and bake 5 more minutes.

I got this recipe from Janis Walters, a friend of mine. Her daughter was a class mate of my son
John. We used this recipe a lot in Tri Kappa for
our dinners we served.
