1 stick butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 pint whipping cream, whipped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add 1/4 cup sugar at a time, and beat well. Add melted chocolate. Add 1 egg at a time. Beat 5 minutes after adding each egg. Add vanilla. Pour into a baked meringue crust or into a ready made crust that is baked. Chill in refrigerator. Add whipped cream on top and garnish with grated chocolate and a few nuts over the top.

MERINGUE CRUST:
4 egg whites (room temperature)
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cream of tartar (add last)
1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Beat egg whites with sugar until sugar is dissolved and stiff enough to hold a point. Fold chopped pecans in egg whites by hand. Spread in well greased 9" pan. Bake 1 hour in a 275º oven.
