2 cups sugar,
1 1/2 vegetable oil,
2 t. vanilla,
3 cups flour,
1 t. salt,
1 t. baking soda,
3 cups chopped and peeled apples,
1 cup pecan (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees In mxing bowl, beat eggs till foamy, gradually all sugar. Blend in oil and vanilla. Combine dry. Add to wet ingredients. Stir in apples and nuts.Pour into greased bunt pan.

Topping: 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup milk, pinch of salt. Combine all ingredient and boil for 3 minutes stirring constantly. Slowly pour over warm cake.You can serve the rest on the side.
