6 c. sliced apples
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. water
1/3 c. lightly browned sugar (easier to use boxed)
2T lemon juice
1t. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Wash,core,peel and slice apples into thick slices. Melt butter in cast iron skillet; add water and apples. Cook over medium heat until barely tender. stir so they don't stick. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Drizzle with lemon juice. Toss and cover the skillet. Let stand for 10 minutes.
