2 cups flour
1/2 lb. butter softened
3/4 c sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
lemon rind
apples or peaches

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter with dry ingredients. After mixing well
add the eggs and mix well again. Put in the refrigerator until it gets cold and then spread out and press down on small cookie sheet. Mix together 4 tbls. sugar and 2 tbls. flour and then sprinkle on dough in cookie sheet. Place peeled and sliced apples or peaches on top. Sprinkle with 2 tbls. sugar mixed with 1 tbs. cinnamon and cover with dots of butter.
Bake 375º 45-60 minutes

This must have been a very old recipe as the recipe card turned really yellow, the writing was
very faded and instead of refrigerator the recipe said, "put dough in the frigedair."
