1/2 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 tsp salt
1 unbaked pastry pie shell
1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

1) Combine butter, sugar and corn syrup in a small pan and heat over medium heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves.
2) Beat eggs, vanilla and salt in a separate bowl, then add gradually to the sugar mixture, beating well with a whisk.
3) Pour into the pie shell and scatter the pecans on top- bake for 55 minutes- will be brown and puffy.

Using dark brown sugar or dark corn syrup will change the recipe- I don't know how, I never tried it.
