1cup white sugar
2cups brown sugar [ light or dark]
1 5oz can evaporaterd milk
2 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
2 cups pecan halves (OR A LITTLE MORE)
4 T cold butter cut in pieces
candy thermometer good heavy pot

Directions:
Directions:
Pour sugar in heavy pot add milk,salt ,stir till smooth. Turn heat up and simmer till candy thermometer reaches softball stage about 238. Watch carefullyRemove from heat ,stir with wooden spoon quickly ,add butter and vanilla and pecans stirring constantly. Working quickly drop heaping spoonfuls of candy onto wax paper. They will set quickly. Do not grease wax paper. Temperature of sugar mixture is important. Do not over cook. Use real butter real vanilla and good fresh pecans!!!! yummy!!!!!
