2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
1 - 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup cold water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

In a microwave, melt chocolate; cool for 10 minutes. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg and sugar. Beat in the water and oil. Stir in melted chocolate and dry ingredients; mix until blended.
Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake at 350º for 32-38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

Another dessert that goes great in lunches or to a picnic...no frosting needed! It's really moist, and it freezes well. I like to double the recipe and put it in a 9 by 13 pan.
