Hearty Chili Recipe

3 c. chopped onion
3 lbs ground beef
3 tbsp fresh garlic finely chopped
3/4 tsp black pepper
6 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp celery salt
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 lg cans peeled tomoatoes w/ basil
1 sm can tomato paste
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 c. water
salt and pepper to taste

In large saucepan, cook onion in oil until wilted. Add ground beef and break up lumps. Add garlic and black pepper, stir. Add chili powder, cumin and celery salt. Stir to blend. Add vinegar, tomatoes, tomato paste, water, salt and pepper. Bring to boil, stir to break up tomatoes. Cook over low heat approx 1 hour.
