9 cups flour or less
4 tsp soda
4 tsp salt
4 cups butter or crisco
3 cups sugar
3 cups brown sugar
4 tsp vanilla
8 eggs
2 pkgs chips
1 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. In small bowl mix flour, soda, salt. set aside. In a large bowl mix butter, sugar, b.sugar, and vanilla. Beat until creamy, Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop on cookie sheet and bake 9-11 min.

When I make these I don't mix the dry ingredients together. I just add them to the creamy mixture. That way you don't get to much flour in them. I let my dough rest after I add 1/2 the flour.
