1 large can sliced peaches (drained)
1 large can sliced pears (drained)
1 can apricots (drained)
1 can pineapple chunks (drained)
maraschino cherries, as desired (drained)
12 crushed macaroons
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Sherry (dry) *optional
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds (brown 15 mins. low oven)

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly butter 2 1/2 quart casserole.
Start with layer of macaroons then fruit; repeat 2 or 3 layers ending with crumbs. Sprinkle with brown sugar and almonds, then pour Sherry over all.
Bake 350º for 30 mins. Add melted butter before serving.

This dish works well for a brunch; goes well with an egg casserole. When omitting the Sherry; use 1/2 cup of the drained fruit jucie.
