Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 qt milk
3tbs flour
4 egg yolks
1 c sugar
2tbs vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
take milk and 1/2 c sugar and stir. Microwave on high (glass bowl works best, careful it will be hot) 5-6 minutes. Mix flour with other 1/2 cup sugar and add. Microwave 1 1/2 min. Stir. Cook 1 minute.
Beat egg yolks and add, mix well. Cook 3-4 mins, stirring every minute.
Done unless too thin (We like ours thick, so it usually takes 3-4 extra 1 minute cycles to get thick enough)
Add vanilla when cool.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe comes from my Aunt Ruth Vantrease. It tastes just as good as the kind you stir for an hour...and no one will ever know the difference.

Aiden and Poppy like to drink theirs, the rest of us pour it right over our cake.
