1 broiler/fryer chicken (3-4 lbs)
2 med carrots, peeled and cut into 1" pieces
1 med onion, cut into wedges
2 med celery stalks, sliced into 1" pieces
1 to 2 tbsp dried basil
1 can chicken broth
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Place vegetables in slow cooker; place chicken on top. Sprinkle with basil, salt, and pepper. Pour chicken broth into cooker and cook on low 8-10 hours.
