6 Bananas
2 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1 T. butter
2 dozen vanilla wafers

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, add sugar, milk and butter to make a custard. Cook in double boiler until thickened. Let cool. Place alternate layers of wafers, bananas and custard in dish using only a thin layer of custard, reserving most of it for the top. Repeat until all the ingredients have been used. Let stand for several hours before serving.
