4 slices bacon - Cut into 1" pieces
2 cloves garlic - minced fine
2 medium onions - diced
2 lb ground beef
2 tsp. salt
4 Tbl. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
2/3 cup tomato paste
3 cups water [more if necessary]
2 cups canned pinto beans, rinsed and drained

16 oz bag Frito's corn chips

1 lb. shredded cheddar cheese

salsa & sour cream served on the side

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon in heavy skillet until fat is rendered. Add onion and garlic and cook until onion is soft.

Add ground beef and cook over medium high heat. Stirring and breaking up lumps, until browned and
cooked through. Pour off excess fat and add salt, chili powder, cumin and tomato paste.

Slowly add water and simmer 10 minutes. Adding more water if necessary. Add beans until heated through.

Pour corn chips onto platter. Top chips with chili and then top w/ shredded cheese.

Serve sour cream and salsa on the side.
