Kolachy Sugar:

1.25 cups granilated sugar
1.25 cups all-purpose flour
1.5 tsp vanilla
1 cup butter flavored crisco

Kolachy Dough:

6.25 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 pkg rapid rise dry yeast
1/2 cup milk
1.5 cups water
1/4 cup butter
1 lg. egg

Asst fruit fillings - 2 lb

1 large egg
2 tbl water

Directions:
Directions:
For kolachy sugar:
Mix all ingredients together. Measure out 1.5 tsp of mixture and roll in a ball. Flatten out and place on sheet the freeze till ready to use.

For kolachy dough:
1. Combine3 cups of flour, sugar and salt.

2. Heat milk, water and butter until liquids are very warm [120 - 125 degrees]. Add the yeast and mix well to combine. Let mixture sit 10 minutes.

3. Mix together the liquid and the dry ingredients in mixer. Add the egg and 1cup of flour till all the flour is incorporated, Add additional flour if needed to make a soft dough. Knead dough 5-7 minutes [either by hand or in mixer w/ dough hook].

4. Heat oven to 200 degrees then turn off heat. Place the dough in a greased glass or metal bowl. Cover w/ towel or saran wrap. Ler dough rice till doubled in size.

5. Cut dough into 50 equal size pieces. Roll out each piece into circular 3-4 inch rounds. Place rounds on parchment paper lined sheet pans. Place pans back in slightly warmed oven till dough rises almost doubled in height.

6. Mix together egg and water. When dough is almost doubled
pusg down middle section of each round where the filling where go. Brusf edges of each dough with egg wash. Place 2 tsp of filling in the middle of each kolachy. Top filling with a sugar circle.

7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place sheet pans in hot oven and bake 13-15 minutes or till kolachy\\\\\\\'s are golden brown.
