3 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c butter, softened
1 c white sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c mashed bananas
2 c semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla and mashed bananas. Mix in the dry ingredients until just blended, then fold in chocolate chips. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.

Bake for 11 to 13 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire cooling rack.
