"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
2 Large cans peach halves
1 - 9 or 10 oz pkg. Red Hots candy
1 tablespoon whole cloves
3 or 4 cinnamon sticks (about 3 inch pieces)

Directions:
Directions:
Drain peach juice into a 2 qt pot. Add Red Hots and spices. Heat over low fire, stirring often until all candy is melted. Remove cinnamon sticks and cool. Pour over peaches, store in covered bowl or container. These are WONDERFUL. They go well as a side dish with meat. Can be use as a salad on a bed of lettuce and cottage cheese, or a great dessert when served with a scoop of ice cream. They keep well in the refrigerator, but they are so good they won't last long.
