16 oz. can black beans (drained and rinsed)
16 oz. can corn (drained)
4 oz. can chopped green chiles
1 jalapeno, chopped & seedless (optional)
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 scallions, chopped
1/2 cup red pepper, diced
juice of one lime
2 tsp. minced garlic
salt & pepper to taste
1 avocado, chopped and added just prior to serving

Combine all of the above the night before the event and refrigerate.
About 2 hours prior to event, add 1 chopped avocado
