Directions: The story behind this pie is that an Amish farmer came in from working in the fields, took one bite of this delicious pie and said "this pie is as good as Bob and Andy" which were his two prize gelding work horses. It reminds me of a rich, spicy chess pie.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. Beat all ingredients together very well and pour into a 9 inch unbaked pie shell. 3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes. Pie will quiver. This is ok! The top will be puffed up when you remove the pie from the oven and will fall down after it has cooled. This is ok, too! Best served at room temperature.
AMISH BOB AND ANDY PIE

1 C. granulated sugar 1 C. packed brown sugar 2 T. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1/4 tsp. salt 3 eggs, beaten 2 C. milk 1 T. melted butter 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Bob Andy Pie (Amish Custard)
1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 Tbsp flour 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp salt 3 eggs 2 cups milk 1 Tbsp melted butter 1 tsp. vanilla One Unbaked 9" pie Shell
Heat oven to 350o Combine sugars, flour, spices in large bowl Beat eggs in medium bowl. Mix in milk, butter, vanilla. Stir liquid mixture into flour mixture. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake until just set, about 45 minutes Serve at room temperature 8 servings
