6 Bacon strips, cooked, diced
3 Cups potatoes, cubed, peeled
1 Can chicken broth
1 Small carrot, grated
1/2 Cup onion, chopped
1 Tablespoon parsley flakes
3 Tablespoons flour
3 Cups milk
1/2 Teaspoon celery seed
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon pepper
8 oz cheddar cheese
2 Green onions

Cook bacon until crisp, drain. Add potatoes, carrots, onion, parsley, celery seed, salt and pepper to broth, cover and simmer until potatoes are tender. Combine flour and milk, add to soup mixture and bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Add cheese, stirring until smooth. Garnish with green onion.
