1 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup Crisco
3 cups sugar
5 eggs slightly beaten (add one at a time)
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp grated lemon rind
3 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Mix in the lemon juice, lemon rind and vanilla extract. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Add flour mixture alternately with the milk, beating well after each addition.

Pour into greased and floured tube or bundt pan. Bake at 325º for 1 1/2 hours
