10 medium fresh jalapeno peppers

4 oz. cream cheese, softened

10 bacon strips, halved

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. WARNING wear gloves when cutting jalapeno peppers to keep from burning hands and eyes. Cut pepper in half lengthwise; remove stems, seeds and center membrane. Stuff each half with about 2 teaspoons cream cheese. Wrap bacon and secure with toothpick. Place on boiler rack that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Remove toothpicks. Serve immediately. Yields: 20. These can also be made on a grill.
