2 1/4 c Quaker old fashioned oats
2 1/4 cups light brown sugar
1 c all purpose flour
scant t salt
2 sticks (1 cup) melted butter
1 egg
2 t pure vanilla extract
1 c raisins

Directions:

Cream all ingredients together and drop by teaspoons full onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.

Note: Do not over grease cookie sheet or cookies will be too thin.

Aunt Kay gave this recipe to Nana who made it constantly. These are delicious oatmeal cookies - no frills. You can add pecans and dust with powdered sugar, too.
