1 1/2lb lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 large cloves garlic, minced
1 (1.25oz) pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
2 (16 oz) can red kidney beans, drained
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (101/2 oz) can condensed beef broth
2 (4.5 oz) cans chopped green chilies drained
3 Tbsp chopped jalapeņo pepper
1 1/2 cup water
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder
pinch of sugar
Condiments; shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, corn chips, shredded cheddar cheese

Brown beef, onion and garlic, drain well, add taco mix and stir well. Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
