1/2 medium melon, cut lengthwise
1/2 6 oz can (1/3 cup) frozen lemonade concentrated, thawed
1-28 oz bottle ginger ale, chilled
1/2 c sugar
1-4/5 quart bottle dry white wine, chilled

Using rim of cup as guide, trace scallops around cut edge of melon. Using a melon ball cutter, cut out 2 cups small melon balls; set aside. Scoop out remaining pulp to use another time; cut thin slice from bottom of melon half to steady. In saucepan, combine sugar and 1/2 cup water; boil 5 min. Add lemonade concentrate and wine; chill 2 hours or more. Pour into melon half; add reserved melon balls. Carefully add ginger ale, mixing with an up-and-down motion.
