3 or 4 Macintosh or Gravenstein apples
water

Directions:
Directions:
Cut apples into quarters
Peel and core apples.
Cut into slices.

Place in pan with a little bit of water on the bottom, no more than 1/4 cup. Cook until the apples get mushy and cook down.

Use a potato masher or a fork to mash the apples into sauce. Leave some texture.

Let cool.
