3/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 cup water
1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Stir in first 5 ingredients in a medium to large bowl. Add water & egg. Stir until smooth. Dip vegetables or shrimp in the batter. Drain and fry in hot oil. Fry 2-3 minutes, turning once. until golden brown & crisp.
