4 large potatoes (baked or microwaved)
2/3 c. butter or margarine
2/3 c. flour
6 cups milk
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 green onions
12 slices cooked bacon
1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
8 oz. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cook and crumble bacon. Scoop out cooked potato from skin. Melt butter over low heat; add flour and stir until smooth. (This soup is really thick). Cut flour to 1/2 c. if thinner soup is desired. Gradually add milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly. Add potatoes, salt, pepper, green onions, bacon and cheese. Cook until heated through, then stir in sour cream. Serve with homemade cornbread.
