1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. warm water

Fluffy Filling
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º

Cream butter & sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg.

Sift together flour, soda, ginger, cinnamon and salt.

Combine molasses & water.

Add dry ingredients and molasses alternately to cream mixture.

Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Fluffy Filling - combine powdered sugar, butter, cream & vanilla until smooth.

Spread cooled cookies with Fluffy Filling, putting flat sides together to make sandwiches.
