Basic Vanilla Recipe
2 (1 quart) cartons Half 'n Half
6 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 cartons whipping cream
1/4 cup vanilla
milk, if needed

Strawberry:
Basic Vanilla Recipe and add
1 (10-ounce) box frozen strawberries

Chocolate:
Basic Vanilla Recipe and add
2 (12-ounce) packages semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Butterfinger:
Basic Vanilla Recipe and add
6 large Butterfinger candy bars, crushed

Directions:
Directions:
Fill half of blender, or electric mixing bowl with Half 'n Half; add eggs and blend well.
Add 2 1/2 cups sugar and blend together.
Add whipping cream one carton at a time and beat till airy. With 2nd carton of half and half, add vanilla.
Pour mixture into Ice Cream cylinder. The Basic Vanilla Recipe will not fill cylinder to top, so you will need to add milk. For the other flavors, add the strawberries, chocolate chips, or Butterfingers and then add milk to fill canister, if needed. Churn away!

This was Granddad's all time favorite. I haven't made any since he passed away. It is strange that little things like a special dessert become so important. Hope you enjoy as much as he did.
