1 (4 oz.) bar of German chocolate melted with 1/4 cup of water in microwave

1 cup margarine (2 sticks)
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
l tsp. baking soda

Ingredients for icing:
1 large can Pet milk
1 1/2 cups of sugar
4 slightly beaten egg yolks (with wisp)
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/2 tsp.vanilla
2 cups coconut
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven at 350º. Mix sugar, margarine, milk and eggs (one at a time) and then add all other ingredients. Make 3 or 4 layers. Bake until done.

Icing:
Mix Pet milk, sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla in saucepan and heat over med. heat until thick and golden ( about 12 min.) stirring constantly.. Take off of burner and pour over coconut and pecans in bowl. Beat with mixer until mixed well. Spread on cake while icing is warm.
