3 cups flour,
1 cup sugar,
1/2 cup water,
1/2 cup coconut cream,
1/3 cup oil,
1 teaspoon baking powder,
1 teaspoon ground cardamom,

Directions:
Combine all dry ingredients
Add coconut cream and knead with water to make a smooth dough. Allow dough to rest for at least 1/2 an hour.
Divide dough into 7 equal portions. Roll each portion to 6 inch round and cut into four quarters.

Heat oil and deep fry on medium heat until golden brown.

Enjoy at breakfast or as dessert. Coconut milk can be substituted for coconut cream. Available at oriental stores.
For best results, use whole cardamom pods, remove seeds and grind with rolling pin.
