Directions:
Cream butter, add egg beaten lightly. Add soda to sour cream and alternate with flour, cocoa and baking powder. Drop by heaping tsp. on buttered cookie sheet. Bake 350º for 10-12 mins. The recipe does not call for vanilla but I would use a tsp. of vanilla.

Icing:
1 tsp lemon juice
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
soft butter about size of an egg
3 T. cocoa
salt
Cream butter, add sugar salt, cocoa, and lemon juice and enough hot water to mix. ( Mom used hot coffee instead of water) I also would use vanilla instead of lemon juice.

Personal Notes:
I got this recipe from Mom. Daddy told her they were the best chocolate cookies she had ever made. She thought maybe they were so good because of the brown sugar.
