Ingredients: 8 cups water, 2sticks cinnamon, 3 cups rice, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 can evaporated milk, 1 can sweetened condensed milk, hand full of raisins, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 2 packages of graham crackers

Directions:Pour the 8 cups of water in the pan over an oven. Then break 2 cinnamon sticks into the water. Let the water boil for about ten minutes. Pour the three cups of rice into the water and stir. after a couple of minutes add one can of sweetened condensed milk. Remove as much of the cinnamon sticks as possible. On a square pan place the first layer of graham crackers, pour a layer of the rice and milk mixture on top. lightly coat with ground cinnamon and then make another layer of graham cracker, and another layer of rice and milk. Create 8 layers to the torta and when finished shake some ground cinnamon on top along with the handful of raisins and decorate with graham crackers, if desired. |
