Ingredients:  
one can tart cherries, drained (water pack)
add water to juice to make one cup
1 cup flour
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. soda
1/4 t. salt
1 egg, beaten until thick
1 cup sugar
1 T. margarine
1/2 t. almond extract
1/4 c. pecans

Icing

1/4 c. sugar
1 T. cornstarch
1/4 t. salt
Cherry juice
1 T. margarine
few drops almond ext.

Directions:
Directions:
One can tart cherries, drained, (water pack) add water to juice to make one cup.
Combine 1 cup flour, 1 t. cinnamon, 1/2 t. soda
1/4 t. salt. Coat cherries with 2 T. flour mixture. Beat one egg till thick. Gradually add one cup sugar, beat 5 min. Stir in dry ingredients. Melt one T. margarine stir in mixture with 1/2 t. almond ext. Stir in cherries. 9x9x2 in pan greased.
Sprinkle 1/2 c. pecans on top. 325º 45-50 min.

Icing
Combine 1/4 c. sugar, 1 T. cornstarch, 1/4 t. salt add to cherry juice. Cook till thick. Stir in 1 T. margarine and a few drops almond ext.
