BROWNIE PUDDING

1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp cocoa (dry)
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c cocoa (dry)
1 3/4 cup hot water

Mix dry ingredients, add milk, oil, and vanilla. Stir in walnuts. Pour
mixture into a 9-inch square baking pan or dish. Mix 3/4 cup brown sugar and
the 1/4 cup cocoa, and sprinkle over the first mixture. Pour the 1 3/4 cup
hot water over the mixture, and bake at 350 deg. F. for 45 minutes.



Chocolate Pudding Cake

1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup cocoa
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Topping:
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup boiling water

Mix first 5 ingredients. Add melted butter, milk and vanilla to dry
ingredients. Add nuts, if desired. Stir just enough to distribute. Turn
into well greased 8 inch round baking dish at least 3/4 inches deep. Combine
topping ingredients and sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over the
top. DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Can be topped
with ice cream or whipped topping if desired.
Denver Chocolate Pudding

3/4 c sugar
1 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 square unsweetened chocolate
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 c milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

Sift sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Melt the chocolate and butter
together, then add to flour mixture. Add milk and vanilla. Pour into
buttered baking dish/casserole (1 1/2 quart). Over the top, scatter WITHOUT
MIXING:

1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
4 Tbsp cocoa

Pour over all this:
1 c cold water

DO NOT MIX. Bake at 325 deg. F. 40 - 60 minutes.
