2 bananas (ripe but firm)
3 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. brown sugar packed
1/8 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
1 tbsp. banana liqueur
1 oz. brandy
vanilla ice cream

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan and add the sugar. Cook, stirring, over medium heat until carmelized. Peel and quarter the bananas, first cutting each one crosswise at the center and then each half lengthwise. Add to the caramel sauce and saute gently until the banana is soft. Stir in the nutmeg or cinnamon and liqueur. Pour brandy on top but do not stir. Light the brandy with a match and then quickly spoon flaming mixture over ice cream.
