4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
4 Tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs, beaten


Cookie Icing

1/2 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 Tbsp milk
3 cups confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour and salt into large mixing bowl. Put in butter as for pie crust. Mix in sugar. Dissolve baking soda in milk and vanilla. Add to beaten egg and combine with the flour mixture. Chill dough then roll thin and cut into desired shapes. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees until slightly brown about 10 minutes.


Icing

Cream butter. Add remaining ingredients and continue creaming until mixture is well blended and fluffy. Decorate with sprinkles and colored sugar.
