1/2 c. butter, softened
1 1/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. apple juice or milk
1 c. finely chopped, peeled apples
1 c. raisins

Glaze:
2 T. soft butter
1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/4 - 1/2 tsp. vanilla
dash salt
2 1/2 T. apple juice or milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Beat in egg. Sift flour with soda, salt and other spices. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the apple juice or milk. Fold in chopped apple and raisins. Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400º for 10 mins. Spread with glaze while cookies are still warm.

Glaze: Cream together 2 T. soft butter and 1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar. Add 1/4 tsp. vanilla (I would use 1/2 tsp.), dash salt, and about 2 T. apple juice or milk.
