1 C flour
1/3 C sugar
1/2 C butter, softened
1/3 C sugar
2 T flour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 C thinly sliced tart cooking apples

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 1 cup flour and 1/3 cup sugar in medium bowl. Cut in butter using pastry blender until crumbly. Press into ungreased square pan 9 x 9 inches. Bake 25 minutes. Mix 1/3 cup sugar, 2 Tbsp flour and the cinnamon in medium bowl. Stir in apples to coat. Spoon over baked layer. Sprinkle with crumb topping. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until topping is light brown and apples tender. Cool completely. For bars cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.
:Crumb topping:
2/3 C flour
1/2 C packed brown sugar
1/4 C butter
Mix all ingredients until crumbly.
