1 qt. chopped cabbage
1 cup hot chopped peppers
1 pt. chopped red peppers
2 cups sugar
1 pt. chopped green peppers
1 qt. apple cider vinegar
1 pt. chopped onion
Add or subtract hot peppers to taste.

Let chopped vegetables stand separately in plastic pans in salt (plenty of salt) for 4 hours or overnight. Place vegetables through sieve and wash out most of the salt.

Combine vegetables and cover with vinegar (1 qt. or more, enough to cover). Place in jars and cook in water bath for 15 min.
