1 3/4 lb. boneless beef chuck roast - trimmed. 3 T. basil, 3 T. oregano, 1 - 2 c. water, 1 env. dry onion soup mix. 10-12 Italian rolls or sandwich buns.

Put roast in slow cooker. Mix next three ingredients together and pour over roast. Sprinkle onion soup on top. Cook 7 - 8 hours. Shred meat, strain broth, skim off fat. (Use for dipping sandwiches in.) Serve meat on rolls.
