1 - 4oz can Ortega diced green chilies
3 lbs beef chuck steak cut into 1/4" cubes
3 T cooking oil
1 large chopped onion
1 T crushed red pepper
2 cloves minced garlic
1-1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 cans beef broth
1/4 C chili powder
1 tsp salt

In a large dutch oven (4-5 qts), brown half of the meat in hot oil. Remove meat with a slotted spoon and set aside. Add chili's, remaining meat, onion, red peppers, garlic and cumin. Cook until meat is browned. Return all meat to dutch oven. Add chili powder, stir in beef broth and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for about 1 hour or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.

If you like, you may add pinto beans.
