1 lb beans
1 lb lean ground beef
1 yellow minced onion
1 green bell pepper
2 T chili powder
2 T Worcestershire sauce
1 28 oz can mashed or pureed tomatoes
3 cloves minced garlic
1 T cumin seed
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Place beans in a deep pot and cover with water - make sure that water is approx 2" above the beans. Simmer for about 1 hour.

While beans are cooking, brown hamburger with the onion and bell pepper until veggies are soft. Mix in chili powder.

Pour mixture in with the beans. Add garlic, cumin seed and tomatoes. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer about 1 hour covered, or until the beans are done. Add Worcestershire sauce, stir well and serve.

Stir occasionally while cooking - if mixture becomes dry, add a little water.
