3 qts. water, boil. Add 9 T. Watkins chicken soup base. 1/2 tsp. thyme, 1/2 tsp. marjoram. To taste: pepper, cayenne pepper (careful!), lemon pepper. Sprinkle with parsley flakes. Add sliced carrots, diced celery, small to medium diced onion.

Dumplings: 3/4 c. flour, 1 egg, 1/3 c. water, 1/2 tsp. salt.

Simmer until carrots are soft. Add egg noodles, simmer until soft. Thicken with cornstarch and water. Add cut-up chicken.

Dumplings: Drop by teaspoon, cover, simmer for 20 minutes.
