2 c raisins
1 c water
1 t soda
1 c shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
3 c flour
1/2 t salt
1 T cinnamon
1 t baking powder
1/4 t nutmeg
1 c walnuts
Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water for 5 mins. Cool; add soda.
Cream shortening & sugar;add eggs, then raising mixture & vanilla.
Add dry ingredients & nuts. Drop on cookie sheet and bake 15 mins. at 375.
