3/4 c raisins
4-5 crowns of broccoli, florets removed and stems chopped separately
1/2 c white wine
1/3 c water
1 whole large yellow onion, finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 large can 28 oz. whole peeled tomatoes
1/3 c pine nuts
1/4 c olive oil
1 lb penne pasta

Heat wine and water in microwave or small saucepan. Remove from heat and add the raisins to plump.
Bring large pot of salted water to a boil. Add broccoli and cook until tender. Drain.
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil in large skillet until translucent. Crush or cut up tomatoes and add to onion mixture. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Cook penne in salted water and add the chopped stalks. Drain. Put florets in tomato sauce, cover and simmer on low heat.
Add the sauce to the pasta and stalks. Drain raisins and add to the sauce along with pine nuts.
